Following the implementation of the Two-Pot Retirement System, members can now access a portion of their retirement savings (the Savings Component) as a taxable cash lump sum once per tax year, if they fulfil the eligibility criteria. Members may not access the other portion (the Retirement Component) until retirement.

For members who joined the fund before 1 September 2024, all contributions made and investment returns on these contributions before 1 September 2024 are in your Vested Component. This component may be accessed on leaving your employer and/or at retirement.
